GOD DEFENDS MARRIAGE
(posted: July 2013)
* All scripture references are from the New King James Version (NKJV) of the Bible, unless otherwise noted.
On June 26, 2013, the God ordained definition of marriage was effectively declared unconstitutional. On that day, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the Defense of Marriage Act was unconstitutional. The Supreme Court’s 2nd landmark decision of the day was to dismiss Proposition 8, the law in California prohibiting same-sex marriage. God’s response can easily be seen in the Bible patterns for that date.
From the year pattern for June, 2013 (Psalms 13, 113, 23) we read the following:
[The two Supreme Court decisions]
[Does God know or care what the Supreme Court does?]
[Harlotry, relative to the Supreme Court decision of 2013, includes sexual relations or unions outside of God’s plan for marriage.]
From the day pattern, June 26th is represented by chapter 26 in Genesis but by chapter 10 in Mark, as Mark has only 16 chapters. So chapter 16 is the 16th day of the month, chapter 1 the 17th, chapter 2 the 18th, and so forth until reaching chapter 10 for the 26th day.
From the day pattern for June 26, 2013, we read the following:
[Surely there are consequences for violating God’s plan for marriage.]
From Mark 10, the chapter representing the 26th day of the month in the book of Mark, we read from the words of Jesus:
God created them male and female and joined them together man and wife. Jesus, the son of God, who Himself is God, clarifies the definition of marriage for the supreme law of the land.
